The NAIVENESS forgotten

Have you ever had a childhood memory of playing with friends,
while talking childish things that you thought were important at that time?

Like, being naive, so so naive, and having so much fun.

Maybe, the childish games like hide-and-seek, or pepsicola or even children's football.

Playing without any pressure on you, just plain, pure fun.

Im sure nearly everyone has.

But then as time goes on, the time we spend playing gradually decreases,
and in the end, we don't play with the same group anymore.

Instead, we change to hanging out with friends in the mall,
or cyber cafe,
or maybe just loitering in starbucks.

We tend to forget how much fun it was, to play, outside, with friends and just have fun.
That naiveness is just so soothing, don't you think?
We don't care how people really think of yourself, just show everything out.
Saying everything out.

This thought came to me today.

So I went to play soccer with Shen Hoong and his friends.
Turned out 3 of em were 10,  1 of em 12, and 1 of em 14.

Mentality. all the same. ^^ no offence

the three 10 year old ones were

Ah-Shaun
Ah-Boy
Ah-Wen

Cute little guys. and keep this in mind. They beat me flat in soccer.
They can practically close their eyes, and use only one leg to get pass me.

That proves their good, or im sucky.
I prefer the former.

Ok, the 12 years old one is jackie
14-wendy( and yea, shes a girl.)

So we were playing, me and shen hoong on the same team,

And they started shouting:
'Ok ar Formation A1!)

then after a few minutes
'Change to Formation C2!)

after a few minutes again
(use back formation A1!)

Actually, i dont really see the difference between the formations....lol.
But then although it's childish, they take it seriously, one yells the command, no one protests.

And they were really nice to me.

When i first went there, i shot once, got so friggin OFF the goal.
Wendy shouted: nice one! it's okay, nice try! good!

I was like. HUH?

The compliments, weren't like the one we hear at school, with a whole ton of sarcasm inside, it's purely a word to encourage you.

Not that they really thought of that, they're just used to complimenting.

Then i found out, every ball shot, no matter who, they'll compliment, or should i say console.

So later on i dribbled,
tried to pass them, one of them shouted: not bad ar! for a beginner, really not bad har....
then she tapped the football from me, in less than a second.
lol.

Overall they were very very nice. They don't shout at each other, they don't even mock, or say anything that would hurt anyone.

I was really really REALLY surprised.

And later on after we went home, i stayed a while with shen hoong and asked him about them, he'd been playing with them for a year, and he really liked them.

It was fun, really, not the soccer of course, i suck in it.

It's just that looking at them, mingling so well, and being so good to each other, really touches me.

Anyway, gona see them again tomorrow. ^^

And im also gona spend a lot of sweet enjoyable time with the sejarah text book too. Wooh! how fun.
ugh.
